On Thursday, November 13, MRN members and guests rolled up their sleeves for a morning of volunteering
The Loading Dock in Baltimore. The weather was perfect, the energy was high, and the results speak for themselves.
Together, the group of 21 volunteers contributed
63 hours of service,
prepped about $8,047 worth of product for LD clients, and
saved an additional $500 in labor costs on clean-up and disposal.
Here’s a quick look at what volunteers accomplished in just a few hours (dollar amounts reflect TLD’s product value):
✅ Vent Sorting – Approximately 540 AC Vents were sorted and organized by type for sale ($6,480)
✅ Party City Crates – 8 Crates from Party City were sorted & organized by category for sale ($400)
✅ Curtains – 35 Curtains were measured, folded, and priced for sale ($267)
✅ Brick/Stone – 12 Pallets of brick/stone were consolidated & organized for sale ($400)
✅ Wheel Sorting – 10 Totes of salvageable wheels sorted ($500)
✅ Windows/Shutters – Various windows/shutters were moved, reorganized, or disposed of ($500 in labor)
Special thanks to everyone that volunteered their time! And to Loading Dock project manager Mike Coskey and his team for giving us this opportunity to truly make a difference.
